The Civil Engineering Association at IIT Bombay, or CEA, was formed with the primary purpose of exposing our students, civil-engineers-to-be, to the rigours of the profession. With both students and faculty as its members, the organization is one of the most active civil engineering associations in the country. CEA is responsible for conducting a lecture series, dispensed by distinguished practitioners of the trade, in order to educate our students. The Association is coming out with a magazine - ‘Yellow’, that aims to supplement classroom study with real-life civil engineering problems. A newsletter based on happenings within the Department and the Institute at large, is also in the offing. In addition to these, CEA conducts a number of social events aimed at fostering a healthy relationship between students and faculty members of the Department.

    Civil Engineering Association, IIT Bombay has been offering many in-depth, high quality seminars each year covering a wide range of technical and management topics. Many distinguished Professors and researchers from prestigious universities and firms had come and presented their work in CEA seminars. Along with this CEA also organizes software workshops covering all important aspects of software that are used in Civil Engineering. Attendees are often provided comprehensive course notes and reference materials.

Civil Engineering association, as an initiative, is offering projects and research work to department students. These projects will begin this December and some of them will be continued during semester also.
Selection results are likely to be declared by November 22nd, 2011.
