The Civil Engineering Association at IIT Bombay, or CEA, was formed with the primary purpose of exposing our students, civil-engineers-to-be, to the rigours of the profession. With both students and faculty as its members, the organization is one of the most active civil engineering associations in the country. 

CEA is responsible for conducting a lecture series, dispensed by distinguished practitioners of the trade, in order to educate our students. The Association is coming out with a magazine - ‘Yellow’, that aims to supplement classroom study with real-life civil engineering problems. A newsletter based on happenings within the Department and the Institute at large, is also in the offing. In addition to these, CEA conducts a number of social events aimed at fostering a healthy relationship between students and faculty members of the Department.
