Dr. K V Krishna Rao is a Professor of Transportation Systems Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He completed PhD in Urban Transportation Planning in 1996 and Masters in Transportation Engineering in 1986, both from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His B.Tech is in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, in 1984.
His research interest includes Travel Demand Modeling and Forecasting, Behavioural Travel Modelling, Urban Land Use Transport Modeling, Public Transit Network Design, Traffic Design and Analysis, Pavement Analysis, Design and Management, and GIS, GPS and Microsimulation in Urban Transportation Planning.
He has completed several sponsored research and consultancy studies in travel demand modeling, pavement design, and traffic engineering. He has several publications in referred national and international journlas and conferences.
