COURSE INTRODUCTION

This course is specially designed for Teachers of Engineering Colleges who are involved or likely to be involved in teaching of the structural design and earthquake related subjects at the UG and PG levels. The course will help the participants in idealization of structures and evaluation of the dynamic response. It will also benefits the participants in interpreting the various provisions of Indian Standard codes for dynamic loads (i.e. earthquake and wind) to be used in the effective design of the structures.  The training program is supported by Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India through National  Programme  on Earthquake Engineering Education (NPEEE).
