Education
Ph.D.: July 2014: KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium
Sustainable materialisation of residues from thermal processes into construction materials
Master of Technology: June 2008: IIT Madras, Chennai, India
Construction Technology and Management
Bachelor of Technology: May 2006: Zakir Hussain College of Engineering & Technology, AMU, Aligarh, India

Work Experience:
Assist. Professor: Jan 2016 to present: IIT Bombay – Mumbai, India
Since January 2016, I am working at IIT Bombay in our newly formed group of Construction Technology and Management. We are looking at valorisation of industrial wastes, concrete technology and rheology behaviour, carbonation, repair and renovation and other aspects related to construction materials along with academic responsibilities.
Post-doctoral scholar: July 2014 to July 2015: KU Leuven – Leuven, Belgium.
Carrying my doctoral research further, I was involved in investigation and valorization of dredging clay from the harbor of Antwerp, Belgium. The aim was to exploit any possible pozzolanic properties of the material by calcining the clay and then using it as a secondary binding material to replace a fraction of ordinary Portland cement
Senior Planning Engineer: July 2008 – January 2010: Larsen & Toubro Ltd. – Mumbai, India.
I worked in the construction and renovation of Mumbai International Airport. As a part of the Project Planning and Control Division, I was responsible for preparing, maintaining and updating the scheduling of the main terminal building. The job involved interactions and coordination with different teams; design, construction, procurement & contacts and sub-contractors.
