Valorization of C&D Waste

Ms. Mala Gudal Ghoshal obtained her M. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in 2002. With over ten years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering and consultancy, she began her career in Mumbai with roles at DBM Geotechnics and D.V. Karandikar & Associates. She later transitioned into international solution sectors and consultancy with Maccaferri India and Pell Frischmann (UK), followed by working in the tendering division at Nagarjuna Construction Ltd., Hyderabad . Since 2006, she has been based in Kuala Lumpur, where she has pivoted to managing family responsibilities while remaining active in the community through dedicated volunteer leadership and educational support roles.. As a Project Associate at IIT Bombay, her work aims to reduce the environmental burden of construction and demolition waste by creating valuable secondary materials, supporting a circular economy and addressing significant environmental challenges.
