Fly Ash: Characterization and Utilization
Coal has been extensively used as an energy source since ancient times. Disposal of the coal ash is one of the major environmental problems of today's world. At the same time, these ashes have some excellent properties and can be utilized as pozollanic material as a replacement of cement etc. In this thesis efforts have been made to relate the properties of fly ashes to the properties of their parent material (coal) on the basis of chemical, physical and mineralogical aspects.
