Subject: [Faculty-notices] Compulsory attendance in the first week

Dear Students,

The important dates to be noted (beginning of the next semester) is as
follows : -

Orientation and Registration for Students who are ALREADY ON ROLL.

Student Group - All Postgraduate and Undergraduate Students

Orientation Dates 13 July, 2012 (Friday) to 18th July, 2012  (Wednesday)
This includes Teaching Assistant Orientation and R&D/ IRCC Orientation.

Registration Dates         13  July, 2012 (Friday) to
                           18th July, 2012(Wednesday)

Instruction begins         19th July, 2012 (Thursday)

The rule of compulsory attendance will be implemented in first week
irrespective of the attendance policy announced by the instructor.The
students are liable to be de-registered for the entire semester FOR THAT
COURSE IN CASE THEY MISS EVEN A SINGLE CLASS IN THE FIRST WEEK.

The only exception to this is when there is a genuine medical reason. In
case of electives the students may add a course after the last date of
registration but before the last date of adjustment. He/she may then be
allowed absence in first week, provided the student provides the proof
that he/she actually attended the first week classes in some other
elective.
